World Tourism Day 2016


Bangladesh observed World Tourism Day on 26th September 2016. The theme of the year is ‘Tourism for All.” The World Tourism Day was observed to built mass awareness among national and international communities of the importance of The World Tourism Day. The day also carry out social, cultural, political and economic value. In Bangladesh the theme Tourism for All.” Was chosen to demonstrate the significance of domestic  and international tourism in the country Bangladesh.

Zoom rent a car Dhaka observed the with full respect and values. In Bangladesh the day also celebrated by BTB, Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation  and different tour operators. The arrange  day long various programmes, including a colorful parade inaugurated by Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Rashed Khan Menon. He is the member of parliament.

In the day President Abdul Hamid advised the authorities concerned to make sure awareness building for a sustainable tourism in Bangladesh. The aim of the day is  to highlight tourisms in Bangladesh potential in helping reach the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). President Abdul Hamid also conveyed that the government is working to highlight the expansive natural beauty of Bangladesh to foreign tourists to help build a thriving industry around it. In the day Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in her speech she said the Awami League led government has taken different  initiatives for the development of the tourism industry in Bangladesh.

The day also celebrated with many events including folk music, discounts on food and accommodations at hotels and motels and seminars across the country of Bangladesh.
